Karen L. Smith, NPP
Karen Smith is licensed by the State of New York as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from The Albany College of Pharmacy. She has a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Russell Sage College with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty. She also has a Master of Science degree in Education from The College of Saint Rose with a specialty in Communication Disorders. She is board certified as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has several years experience working at the Capital District Psychiatric Center, and Albany Medical Center Hospital inpatient psychiatry. She has also worked with special needs children as a speech-language pathologist at Cobb Memorial School in Altamont, and Advanced Therapy in Albany. She is available to treat children, adolescents, and adults.
